The Sony Vaio PCG-FX503 Notebook
comes with DVD/CDRW, Pentium III, 1000 MHz, 256 MB RAM, Softmodem, NIC,
...
Because of IRQ Sharing in BIOS SuSE 7.3 and Mandrake only can be
installed nontrivial. RedHat 7.2 works problem-less!
Disadvantages:
- Framebuffer
- IRQ Sharing
- The notebook hangs, if you activate PCMCIA.
Please use the kernel-parameter NOPCMCIA=yes!
- The softmodem does not work.
