HDD tuning:
/sbin/hdparm /dev/hda Gibt DMA Infos mit using_dma aus.
/sbin/hdparm -i /dev/hda Gibt genaue HDD Infos aus.
/sbin/hdparm -i /dev/hda¦grep ult Look for MaxMultiSect number ??
/sbin/hdparm -m?? /dev/hda Switch it on with.
hdparm -i /dev/hda¦grep dma
DMA must be supported by the kernel
(ATA/IDE.. section in 'make menuconfig')
Check which dma-mode supports your hdd in HDD Info and look where the astrisk by dma is.
/sbin/hdparm -d1 /dev/hda To enable DMA.
/sbin/hdparm -d1 -X34 /dev/hda To enable Multiword DMA mode 2.
/sbin/hdparm -d1 -X66 /dev/hda To enable Ultra DMA mode 2.
-X33 Multiword DMA mode1

/sbin/hdparm -c1 /dev/hda To enable 32-Bit transfer over PCI.
/sbin/hdparm -k1 /dev/had Keep settings across an IDE reset.
